This laptop is cool. . i think its from the HDD. lets talk about what things i didnt like on it :when playing Crysis or any other game with high graphix. it wasnt like that. the 8800 GTS gets hot. actually i think its the best for gaming.2.4GHz Is not bad FAST 400GB HDD , WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE and the screen is sexy with the res 1920x1200i dont agree with that guy who said about the restore cd and stuffu get the CD with the laptop and u have it on ur D drive Recovery Drive and you can Burn it on a disc any timenow. under the laptop.
u need to open the bottom vents and it will be cool :Danother thing. the laptop these days is getting HOT. i dunno. and now im not blocking any holding it and typing to get let it cool down :))
If you buy a Gateway anywhere but their website you must call a separate toll number. Again WTF. Guess what. We bought a Gateway and Windows got hosed for some reason. Get an abacus. Then it wouldn't work, and they wanted to charge me to tell me how to use it.
They charged me $20 for a $1 CD-R.
WTF.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and get a Mac.
We called 1-800-GATEWAY for support.
These people are horrible.
Then we needed to restore it but the restore partition was bad.
Had to get the recovery disk.
Get HP.
Anything but Gateway.
